Article L241-6 of the French Consumer Code

The trader who has made the consumer bear the cost of sending the goods in order to bring them into conformity is obliged to reimburse them within fourteen days at the latest from the day on which the consumer is informed that the goods have been taken over under the legal guarantee. The amount due is automatically increased by 10% if the reimbursement is made no later than fourteen days after this deadline, by 20% up to thirty days and by 50% thereafter.

Le professionnel qui a fait supporter au consommateur des frais d’envoi en vue de la mise en conformité du bien est tenu de les rembourser dans un délai de quatorze jours au plus tard à compter du jour où le consommateur est informé de la prise en charge du bien au titre de la garantie légale. Le montant dû est de plein droit majoré de 10 % si le remboursement intervient au plus tard quatorze jours au-delà de ce terme, de 20 % jusqu’à trente jours et de 50 % ultérieurement.
