Article R2221-3 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The régie with sole financial autonomy is administered, under the authority of the mayor and the municipal council, by an operating board and its chairman as well as a director.

The same operating board or the same director may be responsible for the administration or management of several régies.

La régie dotée de la seule autonomie financière est administrée, sous l’autorité du maire et du conseil municipal, par un conseil d’exploitation et son président ainsi qu’un directeur.

Un même conseil d’exploitation ou un même directeur peut être chargé de l’administration ou de la direction de plusieurs régies.
