Article R2223-88 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When the body of a deceased person has been admitted to a funeral home under the conditions provided for in the fourth and fifth paragraphs of Article R. 2223-76 and l’article R. 2223-77 and that this burial chamber includes, in compliance with the provisions of l’article L. 2223-38, a room where the other services of the external funeral service are offered to families, the manager of the funeral home may not accept an order for these other services until he has received from the person who is entitled to provide for the funeral a document signed by him certifying that he has first read the list mentioned in article R. 2223-71.

Lorsque le corps d’un défunt a été admis dans une chambre funéraire dans les conditions prévues aux quatrième et cinquième alinéas de l’article R. 2223-76 et de l’article R. 2223-77 et que cette chambre funéraire comprend, dans le respect des dispositions de l’article L. 2223-38, un local dans lequel sont proposées aux familles les autres prestations du service extérieur des pompes funèbres, le gestionnaire de la chambre funéraire ne peut accepter une commande de ces autres prestations avant d’avoir reçu de la personne qui a qualité pour pourvoir aux funérailles un document signé par elle et attestant qu’elle a pris connaissance, au préalable, de la liste mentionnée à l’article R. 2223-71.
