Article R426-6 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The spouse or child who has entered French territory as a minor, mentioned in Articles L. 426-12 or L. 426-13, who applies for the issue of a temporary residence permit bearing the wording “private and family life” pursuant to these articles or a multi-annual residence permit on the basis of Article L. 433-4 must submit their application within three months of their entry into France.

Le conjoint ou l’enfant entré mineur sur le territoire français, mentionné aux articles L. 426-12 ou L. 426-13, qui sollicite la délivrance d’une carte de séjour temporaire portant la mention ” vie privée et familiale ” en application de ces articles ou d’une carte de séjour pluriannuelle sur le fondement de l’article L. 433-4 doit présenter sa demande dans les trois mois qui suivent son entrée en France.
