Article R5124-22 of the French Public Health Code

In the event of absence or impediment of the pharmacists in charge or delegates, their replacement may not exceed one year, except in the case of military obligations. In this case, the replacement period is extended until the impediment ceases.

In the event of the permanent cessation of the duties of the pharmacist in charge, a new pharmacist in charge is appointed without delay.

En cas d’absence ou d’empêchement des pharmaciens responsables ou délégués, leur remplacement ne peut excéder une année, sauf dans le cas d’obligations militaires. Dans ce cas, la durée du remplacement est prolongée jusqu’à la cessation de l’empêchement.

En cas de cessation définitive des fonctions du pharmacien responsable, il est procédé sans délai à la désignation d’un nouveau pharmacien responsable.
