Jobseekers must periodically renew their registration in accordance with the procedures laid down by order of the Minister for Employment and the category in which they have been registered. Article L5411-6 of the French Labour Code

Jobseekers who are immediately available for work are guided and supported in their job search by Pôle emploi. They are required to participate in defining and updating the personalised employment access project referred to in article L. 5411-6-1, to carry out positive and repeated acts of job-seeking and to accept reasonable offers of employment as defined in articles L. 5411-6-2 and L. 5411-6-3.
