Section 10: Provisions relating to fire and rescue services in Alsace

Each fire and rescue service in Alsace is administered by a board of directors made up of representatives of the European Collectivity of Alsace, the communes and the public establishments for inter-communal cooperation in the administrative district of the State with competence in the field of fire and rescue.

The Board of Directors comprises a minimum of fifteen members and a maximum of thirty members. Its composition is determined in accordance with article L. 1424-26. The seats are divided between: 1° The Collectivité européenne d’Alsace; 2° The municipalities and the public establishments for inter-municipal cooperation. The representatives of the European Collectivity of Alsace are elected within the departmental council of the European Collectivity of Alsace under the same conditions as the representatives of the department in accordance with the provisions of article L. 1424-24-2.
