In order to record offences subject to the fixed fine procedure and to receive payment for them, where payment is made immediately, ticketing officers use standard counterfoil receipt books, measuring 100 mm × 217 mm, the characteristics of which are set out in the provisions of this section. These books are also used to collect the deposit provided for by Article L. 121-4 of the Highway Code.
Two flaps, placed after the cover page, enable the use of the ten bundles (each containing five sheets) contained in the booklet to be tracked by the issuing authority.
