Section 1: General provisions

I.-The agreement establishing the regional hospital grouping is drawn up by the directors, the chairmen of the medical committees and the chairmen of the nursing, rehabilitation and medico-technical care committees of the establishments participating in the regional hospital grouping and, where an army hospital is associated with the grouping, by the staff occupying functions equivalent to those mentioned for the participating establishments. The derogation provided for in I of Article L. 6132-1 may be granted to an establishment, where necessary and at the request of its legal representative, by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency on account of its characteristics relating to its size, its geographical location or the nature of its activity within the local healthcare provision.

Where a regional hospital grouping includes establishments located in several regions, the director general of the regional health agency responsible is the director general of the regional hospital grouping’s support establishment.
