An agreement between the healthcare professional on secondment and the host organisation defines the nature of the activities carried out and the duration of the secondment. The host organisation sets the working conditions for the healthcare professional on secondment.

The healthcare professional on secondment continues to receive all elements of remuneration relating to the job he/she previously held. The Agence nationale de santé publique reimburses the employer for the remuneration and contributions payable to it and, where applicable, the remuneration or salary payable by the employer in the event of an accident or illness attributable to the service occurring during the period of secondment.
