Article D49-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the number of enforcement judges and the size of the caseload justifies it, a joint enforcement secretariat may be set up, the staff of which includes, in addition to administrative staff, a registrar separate from that of the enforcement judges’ chambers.

This secretariat may also be made up of enforcement officers and clerks mentioned in Article D. 48-1 and exercise powers in common with those of the latter.

Article D49-1
