Article L224-7 of the French Consumer Code

The contract entered into by a consumer with an electricity or natural gas supplier shall be in writing or available on a durable medium. At the consumer’s request, it shall be sent to him at his choice by electronic means or by post.
In addition to the information mentioned in article L. 224-3, it includes the following information:
1° The date on which the contract takes effect and its expiry date if it is for a fixed term;
2° The procedures for exercising the right of withdrawal provided for in articles L. 221-18 and L. 221-20;
3° Details of the network operator to which the customer is connected;
4° The flow rate or power subscribed to, as well as the methods of metering the energy consumed;
5° A reminder of the main legal obligations to which consumers are subject regarding their domestic installations.
The provisions of this article apply regardless of where and how the contract is concluded.

Le contrat souscrit par un consommateur avec un fournisseur d’électricité ou de gaz naturel est écrit ou disponible sur un support durable. A la demande du consommateur, il lui est transmis à son choix par voie électronique ou postale.
Outre les informations mentionnées à l’article L. 224-3, il comporte les éléments suivants :
1° La date de prise d’effet du contrat et sa date d’échéance s’il est à durée déterminée ;
2° Les modalités d’exercice du droit de rétractation prévu aux articles L. 221-18 et L. 221-20 ;
3° Les coordonnées du gestionnaire de réseau auquel est raccordé le client ;
4° Le débit ou la puissance souscrits, ainsi que les modalités de comptage de l’énergie consommée ;
5° Le rappel des principales obligations légales auxquelles les consommateurs sont soumis concernant leurs installations intérieures.
Les dispositions du présent article s’appliquent quels que soient le lieu et le mode de conclusion du contrat.
