Article R1332-1 of the French Labour Code

The letter of invitation provided for in article L. 1332-2 states the purpose of the meeting between the employee and the employer.
It specifies the date, time and place of the meeting.
It states that the employee may be assisted by a member of the company’s staff of his or her choice.
It is either delivered against a receipt, or sent by registered letter, within the two-month period set out in article L. 1332-4.

La lettre de convocation prévue à l’article L. 1332-2 indique l’objet de l’entretien entre le salarié et l’employeur.
Elle précise la date, l’heure et le lieu de cet entretien.
Elle rappelle que le salarié peut se faire assister par une personne de son choix appartenant au personnel de l’entreprise.
Elle est soit remise contre récépissé, soit adressée par lettre recommandée, dans le délai de deux mois fixé à l’article L. 1332-4.
