Article R*211-26 of the French Insurance Code

As regards the vehicles mentioned in articles R. 211-22 and R. 211-25, the presumption of insurance results from the production either of one of the documents provided for in section IV of this chapter, or of a valid international insurance card, or of a document proving that frontier insurance has been taken out, or of the certificate provided for in article R. 211-25.

En ce qui concerne les véhicules mentionnés aux articles R. 211-22 et R. 211-25, la présomption d’assurance résulte de la production, soit d’un des documents prévus à la section IV du présent chapitre, soit d’une carte internationale d’assurance en état de validité, soit d’un document justificatif de la souscription de l’assurance frontière, soit de l’attestation prévue à l’article R. 211-25.
