Article R2122-74 of the French Labour Code

Voters wishing to vote by post shall send their ballot paper to the processing centre referred to in article R. 2122-53, after placing it in the return envelope. By sending the ballot paper, the voter certifies on his or her honour that he or she is not subject to any prohibition, disqualification or incapacity relating to his or her civic rights.

An order of the Minister of Labour sets the deadline for receipt of postal votes.

L’électeur souhaitant voter par correspondance adresse au centre de traitement mentionné à l’article R. 2122-53 son bulletin de vote après l’avoir glissé dans l’enveloppe de retour. Par cet envoi, il atteste sur l’honneur qu’il ne fait l’objet d’aucune interdiction, déchéance ou incapacité relative à ses droits civiques.

Un arrêté du ministre chargé du travail fixe la date limite de réception des votes par correspondance.
