Article R2223-58 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The agency, company, association or establishment applying for authorisation to provide the service of transporting a body before committal or transporting a body after committal, as referred to in article L. 2223-19, must produce proof that the vehicle or vehicles used to carry out any of these services comply with the requirements laid down in paragraph 2 of sub-section 4 of this section.

La régie, l’entreprise, l’association ou l’établissement qui sollicite l’habilitation pour effectuer la prestation de transport de corps avant mise en bière ou celle de transport de corps après mise en bière, visées à l’article L. 2223-19, doit produire l’attestation de la conformité du ou des véhicules utilisés pour réaliser l’une ou l’autre de ces prestations aux prescriptions fixées par le paragraphe 2 de la sous-section 4 de la présente section.
