Article R243-1 of the French Insurance Code

The persons referred to in articles L. 241-1 and L. 241-2 may satisfy the insurance obligation incumbent upon them by virtue of these articles by taking out a group insurance policy, in addition to one or more insurance policies guaranteeing their liability individually within the limits of the ceilings set in this or these policy(ies).

This collective insurance contract may be taken out on behalf of several of the persons mentioned in these articles.

Article R243-1

Les personnes mentionnées aux articles L. 241-1 et L. 241-2 peuvent satisfaire à l’obligation d’assurance leur incombant en vertu de ces articles en recourant à un contrat d’assurance collectif, en complément d’un ou plusieurs contrats d’assurance garantissant individuellement leur responsabilité dans la limite des plafonds fixés dans ce ou ces contrats.

Ce contrat d’assurance collectif peut être souscrit pour le compte de plusieurs personnes mentionnées à ces articles.
