Article R451-5 of the French Insurance Code

Insurance undertakings, as well as insurance intermediaries who have received a management delegation from these undertakings for this purpose, shall communicate to the information body mentioned in Article L. 451-1 the information provided for in I of Article L. 451-2 within a timeframe that allows this information to be available in the file mentioned in I of Article L. 451-1-1 and to be communicated by the information body no later than seventy-two hours following the entry into force or cessation of motor third party liability cover.

Every day, the State communicates to the same body the information provided for in II of article L. 451-2 from the information mentioned inarticle L. 330-1 of the Highway Code.

Les entreprises d’assurance, ainsi que les intermédiaires d’assurance ayant reçu à cet effet de la part de ces entreprises une délégation de gestion, communiquent à l’organisme d’information mentionné à l’article L. 451-1 les informations prévues au I de l’article L. 451-2 dans des délais permettant que ces informations puissent être disponibles au sein du fichier mentionné au I de l’article L. 451-1-1 et communicables par l’organisme d’information au plus tard dans les soixante-douze heures suivant l’entrée en vigueur ou la cessation de la garantie de responsabilité civile automobile.

L’Etat communique chaque jour au même organisme les informations prévues au II de l’article L. 451-2 à partir des informations mentionnées à l’article L. 330-1 du code de la route.
