Article R4626-25 of the French Labour Code

The occupational physician, under the responsibility of the head of the establishment, shall ensure that the provisions of the Public Health Code on compulsory vaccinations are applied.

He will carry out these vaccinations himself or arrange for them to be carried out, as well as those required in the event of an epidemic. Employees may have these vaccinations carried out by the doctor of their choice. They must provide a detailed certificate.

The occupational physician is authorised to carry out vaccinations that are recommended in the event of particular risks of contagion.

Le médecin du travail veille, sous la responsabilité du chef d’établissement, à l’application des dispositions du code de la santé publique sur les vaccinations obligatoires.


Il procède lui-même ou fait procéder à ces vaccinations ainsi qu’à celles qui seraient imposées par une épidémie. Les agents peuvent les faire pratiquer par le médecin de leur choix. Ils fournissent un certificat détaillé.


Le médecin du travail est habilité à pratiquer les vaccinations qui sont recommandées en cas de risques particuliers de contagion.
