The provisions of this article shall apply to any professional providing digital content or digital services and offering the consumer, directly or via a third party, an after-sales service, a technical assistance service or any other service responsible for handling complaints relating to the performance of the contract concluded with that professional, and accessible via a voice communications service within the meaning of 7° of Article L. 32 of the French Post and Electronic Communications Code.
These services can be accessed from mainland France, the French overseas departments and regions and the territorial units of Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, using a non-geographic, fixed, toll-free number.
No additional cost other than that of the telephone call may be charged for these services in respect of this telephone call.
Where the consumer calls these services from the territories listed in the second paragraph using a voice communications service of the trader with whom he has taken out this contract, no sum may be charged to him for any reason whatsoever until he has been put in touch with a contact person who will actually deal with his request.
