Article R2223-31 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Communes must display in public view, in the civil status department of the town hall and annexed town halls, as well as in the conservation area of the communal cemetery or cemeteries, the list of régies, companies, associations and their establishments authorised to provide external funeral services.

This list is drawn up under the conditions provided for in article R. 2223-71.

It must be communicated by the municipal services to any person on simple request.

Les communes doivent afficher à la vue du public, dans le service d’état civil de la mairie et des mairies annexes ainsi que dans le local de conservation du ou des cimetières communaux, la liste des régies, entreprises, associations et de leurs établissements habilités à fournir les prestations du service extérieur des pompes funèbres.

Cette liste est établie dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 2223-71.

Elle doit être communiquée par les services municipaux à toute personne sur simple demande.
