The disciplinary chamber, provided for in Article L. 422-10 for dealing with breaches of their obligations by industrial property attorneys, is composed of seven members:
1° A magistrate of the judiciary, chairman, appointed on the proposal of the first president of the Paris court of appeal;
2° A member of the Council of State appointed on the proposal of the vice-president of the Council of State;
3° A former president of the Compagnie nationale des conseils en propriété industrielle, a former secretary of this company or a former member of the disciplinary chamber, appointed on the proposal of the president of the Compagnie nationale des conseils en propriété industrielle from among the persons registered on the list of industrial property attorneys mentioned in Article L. 422-1;
4° Two industrial property attorneys, chosen from a list of eight candidates proposed, apart from the members of its bureau, by the Compagnie nationale des conseils en propriété industrielle;
5° Two qualified persons appointed on the proposal of the Director General of the Institut national de la propriété industrielle.
When an industrial property attorney lodges a complaint with the Disciplinary Board, the Board meets as a restricted committee composed of the members designated in 1°, 2°, 3° and 4°.
The members of the Disciplinary Board shall have alternates appointed under the same conditions.
The Disciplinary Board also deals with breaches of their obligations by other persons admitted to practise in France activities relating to the profession of industrial property attorney.
