A refuge is an establishment in an isolated mountain site, either guarded or unguarded, open to the public. Minors may be accommodated in a guarded refuge or, when accompanied, in an unguarded refuge. A decree sets out the conditions for application of this article and adapts safety and hygiene standards to the specific characteristics of mountain areas.
The use of the names and designations regulated by this Title in such a way as to mislead the consumer is prohibited and punishable by the penalties laid down in article L. 121-6 of the Consumer Code.
