When a training course is provided for in the decision awarding the employability assistance or in a subsequent amending decision, it may be the subject of State assistance provided that it lasts at least 200 hours and is provided under an agreement with a training organisation mentioned in article L. 6351-1.

The training costs covered by the State under article R. 5222-12 are calculated on a flat-rate basis per hour of training provided, up to a limit of one thousand hours. An initial payment equal to 50% of the cost of the training is made on the date on which the training begins. If the employment contract is terminated before the end of the training period referred to in article R. 5522-12, the sums already paid to the employer corresponding to training hours not completed will be repaid. Where the vocational integration aid or a subsequent amending decision has provided for hours of training given in the company, these hours are deemed to be equally distributed over the training period.

The hourly amount of the flat-rate assistance for training costs mentioned in article R. 5522-14 is set at 7.62 euros.
