Chapter II: REFUSAL AND WITHDRAWAL OF RESIDENCE PERMITS

The head of the Prefecture’s Aliens Department, or his representative, acts as rapporteur for the Residence Permit Commission. He/she does not take part in its deliberations. The aforementioned department provides the commission’s secretariat.

Sessions of the Residence Permit Commission are not open to the public.

In front of the residence permit commission, the foreign national submits the grounds on which he is basing his application for the granting or renewal of a residence permit. A record of the foreign national’s explanations is sent to the Prefect, together with the committee’s reasoned opinion. The person concerned is also notified of the committee’s opinion. .
