Automatic and selective financial aid is awarded to support the production of cinematographic or audiovisual works that make significant use of digital visual effects.
Beneficiaries of aid for the production of cinematographic or audiovisual works using digital visual effects are delegated production companies that meet the general conditions for eligibility for one of the financial aids for production provided for in these general regulations.
The total amount of aid for the production of cinematographic or audiovisual works using digital visual effects may not:1° Exceed 50% of the final cost of the work and, in the case of an international co-production, 50% of the French participation;2° Have the effect of increasing the total amount of public financial aid to more than 50% of the final production cost of the work and, in the case of…

Direct subsidies are granted to delegated production companies for the production of feature films or audiovisual works where the use and enhancement of digital visual effects is a key aspect of the production.
The following are eligible for direct subsidies:1° Long-length cinematographic works for which investment approval has been granted;2° Audiovisual works in the fiction and creative documentary genres for which prior authorisation has been granted.
Direct grants are awarded to help cover the following production costs, corresponding to work carried out in France by companies established in France:1° Digital visual effects costs;2° Costs relating to the overall additional cost of producing the work due to the use of digital visual effects, up to a maximum of 5% of the final cost of the work pro rata temporis for scenes using these effects.The final cost of…
Production expenditure corresponding to work carried out in France by companies established in France must amount to a minimum of:1° For cinematographic works: €1,000,000;2° For audiovisual works in the fiction genre: €300,000;3° For audiovisual works in the creative documentary genre: €150,000.
The production expenses taken into account to calculate the direct allocation are capped at 80% of the production budget for the work or, in the case of an international co-production, 80% of the French participation.
