When a fair, exhibition or other commercial event covered by Chapter II of Title VI of Book VII of the Commercial Code takes place on the territory of a European grouping of territorial cooperation, the representative of the State in the département may, by way of derogation from the Article 2 of Law no. 94-665 of 4 August 1994 on the use of the French language, authorise the use, without translation, of the language of the border country for commercial documents or documents intended for the public relating to a product or service, provided that the absence of a French translation of these documents cannot constitute a risk to the safety or health of consumers and that the purchase of this product or service has been the subject of prior written consent by the consumer to the fact that these documents are not translated.
