Article L242-18-2 of the French Consumer Code

A trader who has incurred shipping costs with a view to bringing the digital content into conformity on a tangible medium is obliged to reimburse them no later than fourteen days from the day on which the consumer is informed of the assumption of responsibility under the legal guarantee. The amount due is automatically increased by 10% if reimbursement is made no later than fourteen days after this deadline, by 20% up to thirty days and by 50% thereafter.

Le professionnel qui a fait supporter des frais d’envoi en vue de la mise en conformité du contenu numérique sur un support matériel, est tenu de les rembourser quatorze jours au plus tard à compter du jour où le consommateur est informé de la prise en charge au titre de la garantie légale. Le montant dû est de plein droit majoré de 10 % si le remboursement intervient au plus tard quatorze jours au-delà de ce terme, de 20 % jusqu’à trente jours et de 50 % ultérieurement.
