Article R6213-21 of the French Public Health Code

Substitutes, equal in number to the full members, except for the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman and the members mentioned in article R. 6213-17, are appointed under the same conditions as the full members. They only sit on the committee in the absence of the full member.

Des suppléants, en nombre égal aux titulaires, sauf pour le président, le vice-président et les membres mentionnés à l’article R. 6213-17 sont désignés dans les mêmes conditions que ceux-ci. Ils ne siègent à la commission qu’en l’absence du titulaire.
