Title I: Controlling epidemics and certain communicable diseases

The provisions of Chapter II of Title I of Book III of Part One of this Code are applicable to the detection of breaches of Articles L. 3111-4 and L. 3114-1 to L. 3114-6 or the regulations made for their application.

The officials mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 3115-1, responsible for health checks at borders, authorised and sworn under the conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat, are authorised to investigate and record offences relating to health checks at borders. Any civil servant, public official, captain or officer of a ship or aircraft or doctor who, in a document or declaration, alters, conceals or neglects to make known to the health authorities facts that he is obliged to disclose pursuant to the second paragraph of article L. 3115-7 and b of 1° of article L. 3115-11, is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 3,750 euros.

Obstructing the work of the agents mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 3115-1 or the technical inspections carried out by an approved body mentioned in the fourth paragraph of the same article is punishable by six months’ imprisonment and a fine of €7,500.
