Article R722-17 of the French Commercial code
A copy of the orders made by the president of the commercial court pursuant to articles R. 722-8 and R. 722-11 to R. 722-16 is sent to the heads of the court of appeal.

Commercial court judges wishing to resign their mandate shall send their resignation to the president of the commercial court, who shall forward it without delay to the prefect, the public prosecutor and the Minister of Justice. The resignation becomes final on the date on which the Prefect acknowledges receipt or, failing this, one month after a new resignation has been sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. .
Subject to the provisions of article R. 724-20, the presidents, vice-presidents, chamber presidents and judges of the commercial courts who have exercised these functions for at least fourteen years are authorised to avail themselves of the honorary status of the functions they have exercised.
Honorary judges of a commercial court may attend installation hearings and, in an advisory capacity, general meetings of that court. At hearings, general meetings and, where appropriate, public ceremonies, they may wear the robes worn by sitting judges.
The president, vice-president, presidents of chambers and judges in office or honorary judges of the commercial courts may not refer to their status without specifying the commercial court where they hold or have held office; they may not mention it in advertising or commercial correspondence.
The declaration of interests of commercial court judges referred to in I of article L. 722-21 includes the following information: 1° Identification of the declarant: a) The surname, first name and date of birth of the declarant; b) The postal address, e-mail address and telephone contact details of the declarant; c) The duties in respect of which the declarant is making the declaration and the date on which these duties…
The declaration of interests and, where applicable, the supplementary declaration(s) shall be submitted by the interested party to the authorities mentioned in the second and third paragraphs of article L. 722-21 in a sealed double envelope marked confidential. The authority to which the declaration is addressed shall acknowledge receipt thereof. .
After the ethics interview provided for in the fifth paragraph of article L. 722-21, the judge has a period of eight days to amend, if necessary, his declaration of interests and to forward it in the form provided for in article R. 722-23.
The authority to which the declaration was submitted is responsible for keeping this declaration and any additional declarations. These declarations are kept in a sealed double envelope. The outer envelope shall be marked as confidential and with the words “Declaration of interests” followed by the surname and first name of the judge. The declaration of interests may be consulted by the judge concerned as well as by the authority to which the declaration was submitted. The confidentiality of these declarations does not prevent them from being communicated to the Commission nationale de discipline des juges des tribunaux de commerce (National Disciplinary Commission for Commercial Court Judges) and to the Garde des sceaux, Minister of Justice, when disciplinary proceedings are initiated.
