The sanitary facilities are located close to the artificial bathing area and beaches and are clearly signposted for bathers and non-bather companions. The type and minimum number of sanitary facilities are set by order of the Minister for Health.

The results of the analyses carried out as part of the health checks provided for in article D. 1332-47 and the rules and regulations of the artificial bathing facility are clearly displayed for users. Artificial bathing areas that qualify as bathing areas with paid access within the meaning ofarticle D. 322-12 of the French Sports Code must meet the technical and equipment safety standards set out in articles R. 322-7 and D. 322-16 of the same code.
