Doors and gates are maintained and inspected regularly. If falling doors or gates may present a danger to workers, particularly due to their size, weight or fixing method, the frequency of inspections and any work carried out must be recorded in the file provided for in Article R. 4224-17.
Automatic doors and gates operate without risk of accident to workers. The characteristics to be met by new and existing automatic doors and gates, as well as the conditions for their maintenance and inspection, are defined by joint order of the ministers responsible for labour and agriculture.
Workplaces are equipped with first aid equipment that is appropriate to the nature of the risks and easily accessible.
A member of staff receives the first aid training necessary to provide first aid in an emergency in: 1° Each workshop where dangerous work is carried out; 2° Each worksite employing at least twenty workers for more than fifteen days where dangerous work is carried out. Workers trained in this way may not replace nurses.
In the absence of nurses, or when there are not enough of them to ensure a permanent presence, the employer shall, after consulting the occupational physician, take the necessary measures to provide first aid to accident victims and the sick.
