TITLE VI: SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR CERTAIN OVERSEAS COLLECTIVITIES.

The regions of Guadeloupe and La Réunion define their tourism and leisure activities, after consultation with or on the recommendation of the local authorities and the Economic, Social and Environmental Council. They may entrust agencies, created in application of the provisions of article L. 4433-2 of the General Code for Local Authorities, with the implementation of their actions. In the overseas regions and departments, the Regional Council and the General Council may by agreement create a single body to exercise the powers devolved to the Regional Tourism Committees and the Departmental Tourism Committees. Failing this, the regional tourism agencies created in application of article L. 161-1 shall exercise in these regions the powers devolved to the regional tourism committee by articles L. 131-7 and L. 131-8.

The provisions applicable to all municipalities classified as tourist resorts within the meaning of sub-section 2 of section 2 of chapter III of title III of this book are extended to towns or resorts classified as tourist resorts with more than 15,000 inhabitants in the department of French Guyana.
