Before dispensing any medicinal product, the pharmacist shall affix his name and address and the name of the medicinal product to the container, box or pack containing it. The provisions of this article do not apply to the medicinal products mentioned in articles L. 5121-8 and L. 5141-2, with the exception of those subject to the rules governing poisonous substances.

The dispensing pharmacist may inform the operator, in particular via the emergency call centres or any equivalent system mentioned in article R. 5124-49-1, of supply shortages of the medicinal products which he supplies and of which he has not already been informed by the operator or by the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé and, if necessary, request an emergency supply.
