The ministers responsible for health, health insurance, the elderly and the disabled, or their representatives, report once a year to the plenary session of the Conference on the action taken on its opinions. This information is made public.

The members of the Conference, including the members of the permanent working group, carry out their duties free of charge, as do the qualified personalities who are heard or associated with them. At least six months before the end of the current term of office, the permanent General Secretary launches work to renew the Conference for the next term of office, at which point the body’s functions are limited to producing opinions in response to referrals from the government.
