The members of the Professional Advisory Commission for Sport and Leisure Activities are appointed by the Minister for Youth and the Minister for Sport. They cease to be members upon written request to the Secretary General mentioned in article A. 142-27.

The Professional Advisory Committee for Sport and Leisure Activities is chaired for two and a half years by one of its members, chosen alternately from the employers’ and employees’ colleges. The Chairman is assisted by a Vice-Chairman from the other college. The chairman and vice-chairman are elected simultaneously by the representatives of each of the two colleges concerned. An official from the Sports Directorate appointed by the Minister for Youth and the Minister for Sport will act as the Commission’s Secretary General. He/she organises the secretariat for the meetings and coordinates the work of the committee and its sub-committees.

A co-ordination body is set up, comprising the chairmen and vice-chairmen of the plenary committee and each sub-committee, and the secretary general referred to in Article A. 142-27. It is responsible for preparing the work programme of the sub-committees and the Committee and for specific studies.

After receiving the opinion of the coordination body mentioned in article A. 142-28, the annual work programme is drawn up by agreement between the Director of Sport and the President of the Professional Advisory Commission for Sport and Leisure Activities. If no agreement is reached, the programme is drawn up by the Minister for Youth and the Minister for Sport.
