Meetings of the Standing Committee, specialised committees and standing working groups are not open to the public, unless their chairmen decide otherwise, in accordance with the conditions laid down in the Rules of Procedure.

Where its opinion is required, the Regional Health and Autonomy Conference is deemed to have been consulted if no action is taken within two months of receipt of the request for an opinion, accompanied by the necessary documents, from the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. This period is reduced to fifteen days in an emergency and to eight days in an extreme emergency.

The agendas for the meetings of each of the specialised commissions referred to in Article D. 1432-31 are set by their chairmen. The chair of the Regional Conference on Health and Autonomy shall inform the chair of each of the other specialised commissions of the agendas thus set. Opinions, reports, studies and work produced by any of the bodies of the Regional Conference on Health and Autonomy are sent to the Chair of the Conference and to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. The Chair may request a further discussion.

Conference members carry out their duties free of charge. They may be reimbursed for travel and subsistence expenses incurred in the course of their duties under the conditions laid down in the regulations applicable to civil servants.

The regional health agency provides the secretariat for the regional health and independence conference and contributes to the running of the conference. At the beginning of each term of office, the chair of the regional health and independence conference submits a work programme to the director general of the agency, together with an assessment of the resources required to carry it out.
