Aircraft arriving from an area where vector control is recommended are disinsected and kept free of vectors. On landing, the aircraft captain shall, at the request of the prefect, inform the prefect of the vector control measures taken on board and recorded in the health section of the general aircraft declaration. In the event of failure to submit the part of the general aircraft declaration relating to health issues, the Prefect may carry out an inspection and, if necessary, prescribe the measures required to prevent the spread of infection or contamination.

In the event of a risk to public health, an inspection of aircraft may be carried out at the request of the Prefect by the officials mentioned in article L. 3115-1, at all airports that are points of entry within the meaning of article R. 3115-6, and may focus in particular on checking the disinsectisation of aircraft or their general hygiene.
