Chapter IV: Supporters

Sports associations or companies taking part in competitions organised by a professional league designate, in application of article L. 224-3, one or more reference persons, who may be volunteers or employees, responsible for relations with their supporters. Any contact person responsible for relations with supporters is appointed by the association or, where applicable, the sports company after the latter has sought the opinion of the supporters’ associations approved by the Minister for Sport that support it, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. The person in charge of relations with supporters ensures dialogue between all supporters and supporters’ associations that support the sports association or company. He/she advises and informs the directors of the sports association or company on any questions or requests concerning supporters or supporters’ associations. The sports association or company, in conjunction with the professional leagues, shall ensure that the person in charge of relations with supporters periodically undergoes “supporter relations” training.
