Municipalities and persons responsible for bathing waters shall ensure that the public is involved in the implementation of the provisions of this section, by informing them of the possible ways in which they can participate and by collecting their suggestions, comments or complaints.

Each year, before 15 October, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency sends the Minister for Health, for the purposes of reporting to the European Commission, the results of the monitoring, the assessment of the quality of the bathing water under its jurisdiction and a description of the management measures taken.

Where a river basin has transboundary impacts on bathing water quality, Prefect Basin Coordinators shall cooperate with relevant persons in other Member States of the European Union as appropriate in the implementation of this Section, including through appropriate exchange of information and joint actions to monitor such impacts.

For the application of this chapter to Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, references to the President of the Territorial Council, the territorial authority and the local authority building replace references to the mayor, the municipality and the town hall respectively.
