Exhibitors wishing to receive support at the end of the period referred to in article 821-1 must first submit electronically, between 1 September and 31 October 2021, a form drawn up by the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée containing a description of the planned programme of actions and the corresponding communication strategy.

The granting of aid is subject to the provisions of exempted framework scheme No SA.42681, on aid for culture and heritage conservation for the period 2014-2023, adopted on the basis of Commission Regulation No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty.

In order to support the cinema exhibition sector, which has been particularly affected by the energy crisis, the sums entered in the automatic cinema exhibition accounts may be invested and the advances provided for in article 232-16 may be allocated in order to help offset the additional costs resulting from the energy consumption linked to the activity of these establishments between 1 December 2022 and 31 March 2023.
