Section 3: Delegated federations

The delegation provided for in article L. 131-14 is granted to a federation set up to organise the practice of one or more sports. In its articles of association, the federation shall list exhaustively the sports it organises.

The application for delegation must include: 1° A presentation of the national strategy to promote the principles of the Republican Commitment Contract referred to in article L. 131-15-2 ; 2° An official calendar of the competitions that they organise or authorise, allowing athletes, trainers and referees the recovery time necessary to protect their health, published before the start of the competitions in the sporting season; 3° The calendar and presentation…

Once the delegation contract referred to in article L. 131-14 has been signed, the decision by the Minister for Sport granting the delegation to a federation is made after consultation with the French National Olympic and Sports Committee and, when the sport is specifically dedicated to disabled people, after consultation with the French Paralympic and Sports Committee. It is published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.

The delegation contract is amended in the event of the partial withdrawal of a delegation entrusted to a federation. It is also amended when changes to the documents appended to the contract are such as to modify the contractual commitments of the parties. It may be amended at the reasoned request of the federation.

The delegation contract and its appendices are published under the conditions set out in article R. 131-36. The delegation contracts and their appendices are also made available to the public on a website belonging to the Minister for Sport.
