Autonomous pilots must have demonstrated the following skills: -be able to control the entry and exit of the airflow; mastery of stability on the yaw and roll axes; – mastery of front, rear and side slips -be able to control front, rear and side skids; -be able to control rotation around the yaw axis; -master height variations; -be able to control the return to the ground.
Autonomy is attested by a certificate issued by an instructor, bearing the date and the full name of the participant. This certificate also includes the instructor’s surname, first name, qualifications and signature. A logbook is kept to record the level of practice and techniques mastered.
The machines used by the operators are adapted to the nature of the activities proposed. They must be designed and built in such a way as to allow external emergency services to intervene.
Competitors must wear at least : 1° A one-piece wetsuit that prevents solid objects from being blown into the air; 2° A hard-shell helmet.
For flight sessions as defined in 1° and 2° of article A. 322-166 and in 2° of article A. 322-166, supervision must include at least : 1° An instructor holding the professional qualification certificate “flat flight instructor in wind tunnel” or the professional qualification certificate “flat flight instructor in wind tunnel with additional qualification 3D flight in wind tunnel” who supervises in the air stream or at the air stream…
