The term of office of the elected members and alternates of the Local Finance Committee is the same as their term of office as local elected representatives or members of the Assembly of French Polynesia.

No one may be a member of the Local Finance Committee in more than one capacity simultaneously. When a member of the Local Finance Committee representing the communes becomes President of French Polynesia, he/she is replaced by his/her alternate until the next renewal of the representatives of the communes on the Local Finance Committee.
