Title VI: CONTENT AND TERMINATION OF PROTECTION

Unless there are compelling reasons of national security or public order to the contrary, a foreign national holding a valid residence permit who has been granted subsidiary protection pursuant to article L. 512-1 and who is still under the protection of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons may be issued with a travel document known as an “identity and travel document” authorising them to travel…

Unless there are compelling reasons of national security or public order to the contrary, the minor foreign child of a refugee or beneficiary of subsidiary protection, present on French territory, who is not eligible for asylum protection may be issued with the travel document provided for in article L. 561-10.

The period of validity of the travel document issued pursuant to Articles L. 561-9, L. 561-10 or L. 561-11 is set out in IV of Article 953 of the General Tax Code.

The travel document referred to in Articles L. 561-9, L. 561-10 or L. 561-11 may be withdrawn or its renewal refused where it appears, subsequent to its issue, that this is justified for imperative reasons of national security or public order.
