Voters indicate by yes or no whether they approve the draft deliberation or act presented to them. After taking cognisance of the result of the consultation, the competent authority of the local authority shall adopt its decision on the matter that was the subject of the consultation.

The provisions of the first eleven paragraphs of Article LO 1112-6 are applicable to the consultation of voters. During the period of one year from the holding of a local referendum or a consultation of electors at the initiative of a territorial authority, the latter may not organise another consultation on the same subject.

The provisions of article LO 1112-11 are applicable to the consultation of voters.

A local authority or a public establishment for inter-communal cooperation may set up a youth council to issue an opinion on decisions relating to youth policy in particular.
