Title III: Representation of the liberal health professions

Elections are held by regional union and, in the case of the regional union for doctors, by college.

The elections are organised by profession by a national committee based at the Ministry of Health, which provides the secretariat. This committee comprises : 1° A representative of the Minister for Health, who is the chairman ; 2° Three representatives of each candidate trade union organisation or their alternates. The list of full and alternate members is published by order of the Minister for Health.

The National Commission shall take all measures necessary for the organisation of the electoral operations, and in particular shall: 1° Draw up the electoral lists and rule on any complaints relating thereto; 2° Receives and registers candidatures; 3° Controls electoral propaganda; 4° Distribute the documents required for the electoral campaign and voting operations. The costs incurred by the elections, including those related to the technical services provided for this purpose by the State on their behalf, are borne by the unions according to a breakdown defined by order of the Minister responsible for health. Expenses relating to technical services provided by the State are deducted from the sums mentioned in b of 1° of article R. 4031-45 and paid back to the State.
