Article R623-1 of the French Consumer Code
The group action provided for in Article L. 623-1 shall be brought in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure , subject to the following provisions.

The group action provided for in Article L. 623-1 shall be brought in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure , subject to the following provisions.
The court with territorial jurisdiction is that of the place where the defendant lives. The Paris judicial court shall have jurisdiction where the defendant lives abroad or has no known domicile or residence.
In addition to the information prescribed in articles 56 and 752 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the summons shall expressly set out, on pain of nullity, the individual cases presented by the association in support of its action. Copy of the approval order issued pursuant to the provisions of article R. 811-2 is attached to the summons.
The application shall be lodged, investigated and judged in accordance with the rules applicable to ordinary written proceedings before the judicial court. The appeal is heard in accordance with the procedure set out in Article 905 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
The regulated legal professions to which the person whom the associations may associate pursuant to article L. 623-13 are lawyers and bailiffs.
The judge finds that the conditions of admissibility mentioned in Article L. 623-1 are met.
The judgment holding the professional(s) concerned liable shall set the time limit within which the publicity measures must be implemented by the professional(s) concerned and on expiry of which they will be implemented by the association(s) at the expense of the professional(s) concerned.
This judgment remits the case to the mise en état for further proceedings. It shall indicate the date of the hearing at which, pursuant to article R. 623-10, any claims for compensation that the trader has failed to satisfy.
For the application of the provisions of article L. 623-5, the judge may, at any time during the proceedings, order any legally admissible investigative measure necessary to preserve evidence and the production of documents, including those held by the professional.
The judge shall rule in a single judgment on all claims for compensation to which the professional has failed to grant.
