The application for registration shall be made by one of the parties to the deed or by a proxy with a power of attorney. Unless otherwise stipulated, this power extends to the registration requests referred to in articles R. 132-10 to R. 132-13 and R. 132-15, upon receipt of the notifications provided for in Article R. 132-14 and to the request for cancellation provided for in article R. 132-16.

Requests for the rectification of material errors relating to acts previously published in the register may be submitted by any party to the acts concerned, in accordance with the procedure mentioned in Article R. 132-12. They must be accompanied by all supporting documents. .

In the event of non-compliance with an application for registration, the applicant will be notified and given reasons. The applicant is given two months to regularise the application or submit observations. In the absence of regularisation or observations allowing the objection to be removed, the application is rejected by decision of the Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property. Failing an express decision within the time limit mentioned in article R. 132-14-1, the application is deemed to have been accepted.

The registration ceases to have effect if it has not been renewed, in accordance with the procedure set out in Article R. 132-10, before the expiry of the five-year period running from the date of registration of the pledge.
